Mental and physical capabilities are necessary but not sufficient to climb Mount Everest or reach the North Pole. What a team really needs to achieve peak performance is emotional and spiritual intelligence, says Edmond Öfner. In this ELP Leadership Dialogue, Edmond, a seasoned expedition leader on the seven continents, will share some of his experiences in rugged nature and explain how they apply to corporate life. Traditional tough leadership competencies don’t let you win anymore, Edmond says; so-called soft skills are necessary for leaders to perform in the present and in the future. After Edmond’s plenary presentation participants will engage into Roundtable Dialogues to explore their personal leadership skills.
