Date / Time: 27 May 2020 08:00 till 30 May 2020 12:00
Venue: Assisi (Italy)
Join us on a trip to Italy, inspired by the work and life of Francis of Assisi. We will use the inspiration of Saint Francis to reflect on
personal leadership dilemmas for ourselves, such as:
- What is my purpose in life and work?
- What are my values?
- What do I want in my life and what does life expect me to do?
To reflect on these questions and more, we will meditate at Francis' tomb, hike on the mountain where he went for solitude, get inspired by the place where he found his purpose, and much more. We will stay in a monastery in the heart of Assisi, and also take time to enjoy la dolce vita of Umbria.
The Journey will be facilitated by Bart Schalkx and Twan van de Kerkhof. Bart is an experienced trainer and an expert in the life and work of Saint Francis. We will leave from Amsterdam in the morning of Wednesday 27 May and return on Saturday 30 May.
The fee for this Journey is €2,395 ex VAT, excluding travel costs to and from Italy and including all local expenses. The special fee for early birds is €1,995, if you register before 1 Deccember 2019.

"Assisi gave me the focus and clarity that I needed in a period of transition, after several years of a busy, intensive and complex responsibility. It allowed me to share and experience with the group the start of what I can mean for others and for myself, it allowed me to accept my capabilities. Bart and Twan led us in this 4 day journey where the rhythm alternated between listening, talking, walking, laughing, great Italian eating, reflecting and resting. We were participants, at different stages of career and family life, all looking for a moment of rest and reflection in our full and busy environments. Bart and Twan created a place where we could be open to oneself and to the other, they gave us exercises and questions that allowed us to go in depth into our personal and professional needs, they were flexible to adapt to the pace of the group, they were humble and grew with us. It was envigorating and we all left with a strong sense of having done the right thing and being ready for "home". Assisi was a blessing. Assisi was a must." - Aurélie Peters
"Assisi gave me the ultimate opportunity to again experience the true content of "sincere attention (for myself but also to others) and what incredible impact this may have. For me a valuable gift at just the right time! All this at an incredibly beautiful location with wonderful people around me. I feel inspired and grateful." - Milou Pijls-Strijbos
