Regulating Regulation

There is always either too much or too little regulation. If things run smoothly, everyone says that rules can be relaxed; if things go wrong, there is a Pavlov-reaction to call for more and tighter rules. In this ELP Leadership Dialogue we will discuss aspects of regulation and their impact on business and society, including who should regulate the regulators to ensure that they are strict enough on the one hand but keep measure on the other. Jeroen Dijsselbloem - Chairman of the Dutch Onderzoeksraad voor Veiligheid, former Minister of Finance and former Chairman of the Eurogroup - will be interviewed by Twan van de Kerkhof in the plenary opening. Subsequently participants will engage into moderated dialogues to discuss their personal insights about and experiences with regulation.
