Back to the Future

HEMA, one of the most famous retail brands in the Netherlands, had a rollercoaster ride over the past few years. The company got into serious financial troubles, got a new owner, curtailed its global ambitions, became more sustainable and got a new CEO. Saskia Egas Reparaz was appointed in 2021 in the middle of the pandemic and introduced a new ‘back to the core’ strategy by the end of October. In this ELP Leadership Dialogue she will talk about HEMA’s new strategy and her personal leadership. After this plenary introduction participants will engage into Roundtable Dialogues about how to choose a strategy and execute it.
